0. About Jenova
------------------------------------------------------------
The Jenova editor is freeware. This means, literally, that
it is free. However, I ask that you follow these rules:

  * You can't sell it, since it is freeware.
  * You can't take personal credit for it, since I made it,
     not you.
  * If you wish to let users download it from your website,
please link to the official site.

Always make backups of the save files you wish to edit. The
author can not be held responsible for any lost information
caused by using the editor.

You can always find the latest version on the official site.

1. Main dialog
------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do I open a save file?
A: Simply click one of the buttons in the top of the dialog
to open it. A list of available save slots will appear.
Select one and click Load or simply double-click to open
   it for editing.

Q: What buttons? There's nothing there!
A: Make sure you have at least one saved game. The editor
can't create new files, only edit existing.
A: Check if the FF7 directory is correct. It should be
detected automatically, but you can browse for it your-
   self with the [...] button.

Q: I've selected "C:\Final Fantasy VII\save". Still nothing!
A: The editor searches for save files using this method:
   <Selected directory>\save\save0x.ff7
   Select "C:\Final Fantasy VII\" instead.

2. Party editor
------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How can I get Omnislash? (Cloud's level 4 Limit break)
A: In the character list box, select Cloud(*), then click
[Limits]. This brings up Clouds limit skills, as well as
his current limit level and limit bar. To get Omnislash,
simply check it in the learned limit skills list box.

(*) Or whatever you named him.

Q: How do I change party members?
A: To change party members, select a character and click one
of the [Change] buttons. This has roughly the same
   effect as in the game:
    * If the character is already in the selected slot, the
      slot becomes empty.
    * If the character is already in the party but in
      another slot, they switch places.
    * If the character is not in the party, he/she takes
      over the slot.

3. Item editor
------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do I add, say, 10 X-Potions?
A: Piece of cake. In the upper right box, click "Items",
"X-Potion". Then enter "10" in the quantity box.
After that, just click [Add]. The same procedure applies
   to any item.

Q: I have two Mystiles, how do I add three more?
A: There are several ways of doing this. You can click
"Armors","Mystile" in the upper right box, enter "3" in
the quantity box and click [Add]. Or, you can select the
Mystile in the item list box (upper left), which auto-
matically selects "Mystile" in the upper right box. You
can also enter "1" in the quantity box and click [Add]
   three times. It's your choice.

Q: How about removing items?
A: It's just the same. Select the item in the upper left box
and click [Remove]. The specified quantity will be
subtracted from the current item quantity. If the item
quantity gets to zero, the item is removed.

Q: Isn't there a button which completely removes items?
A: Not at the moment.

4. Materia editor
------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do I add a Master Summon materia?
A: Simple. In the upper right box, click "Summon materia",
"Master Summon". Enter the desired AP in the AP box (or
click [M] to set it to MASTER) and click Add.

Q: So it's the same as the item editor?
A: Not quite. Two Fire materia uses two materia slots while
two potions share the same item slot. This means that new
materia is automatically inserted in the first empty slot
while new items are added to existing items, if any.
Did that make any sense at all?

Q: What does the [<] button do?
A: This is the Update button. It simply updates the selected
materia with the AP specified in the AP box.
TIP: Click [Master all] to master all materia.

Q: Can I edit learned enemy skills?
A: When you select an Enemy skill materia, the enemy skill
box automatically appears. This will enable you to
   specify learned enemy skills.

Q: Why does't equipped materia appear in the list box?
A: Equipped materia is not included in the materia slots.
Use the Party editor to edit equipped materia.
   (Click [Party],[Equip].)

5. Chocobo editor
------------------------------------------------------------
Q: What does the different buttons do?
A: [Update] Replace the current slot with current values.
   [Remove] Empty the current slot.
   [Speed] Chocobo's normal speed.
   [Max] Chocobo's top speed.
[Sprint speed] Chocobo's speed while holding [OK].
[Max] Chocobo's top speed while holding [OK].
   The rest is obvious.

Q: Can I "clone" a chocobo? (copy its values)
A: Yes. First, make sure you have an empty slot. Select the
chocobo you want to "clone", then select the empty slot
   and click [Update].
